Damon has black hair that isn't short but not long either. It looks scruffy all the time and nothing changes that. He has extremely light blue eyes which contrast against his black and pale skin. He has a slight tan but the vampire in him makes his skin rather pale. Damon is slim and slender but also muscular. When he wears his usual shirts of black it is easy to see the muscles. He stands at about 5'9 ft. He towers over some of the people around him but he isn't exactly very tall. He appears to be around his mid twenties (although realistically he is a lot older than that). You will normally see him in black jeans with a dark top and his black leather jacket. It goes well with his hair therefore it must look good XD.

Personality :
To say Damon wasn't a smart ass brotha from anotha motha just wouldn't cut it. He is rude and arrogant and likes things to go his way. See his temper tantrums when it doesn't, I'd run if you see him go in to one. A good point though is that he loyal and true to his word. If there is something he promises you, normally he keeps it. He is loyal to those he loves, even his own annoying little brother. Especially to Elena. He would do anything for her. Also stubborn would work. Stubborn and determined. When he wants something normally he gets it. Comes with being selfish. He is only not selfish when it comes to Elena, he wouldn't dare do that with her. He has a kind heart deep down inside whether or not he chooses to show it to you is another story. Damon can get slightly childish with his smart ass comments or just being a jerk. He likes to play with people and it makes him laugh. Well not so much anymore I guess.

History :
Damon Salvatore was born the elder son Giuseppeppe Salvatore during the 1840s. He had a younger brother by the name of Stefan, and his father tended to favor Stefan over the more rebellious Damon. In spite of this, the two brothers were very close. They resided in Mystic Falls, Virginia. He grew up in the Southern town, living a relatively normal life for the time period. His father was a successful businessman and a member of the Founders’ Council. His family was of Italian descent.
Damon fought for the Confederacy in the Confederate Army during the Civil War, but he eventually deserted and returned home to Mystic Falls. Sometime shortly after his return, his family took in a supposedly orphaned young lady from Atlanta by the name of Katherine Pierce. The truth was that Katherine was a vampire, but at the time, this was unknown to the Salvatore family. Both Damon and Stefan developed feelings for Katherine.
In time, she seduced both brothers and took them to bed. She also revealed her true vampire nature to both of them. While she used her vampire abilities to manipulate Stefan’s mind and induce him to accept the arrangement (her feeding off of him and her having her way with both brothers), the situation with Damon has not been made as clear. (In the series, Damon claims that he knew the whole truth and accepted it without any manipulation, but between his tendency to lie and the possibility that his belief was the result of her influence, it is difficult to say for certain.) He watched Katherine trap and kill one and possibly several other victims so that she could feed.
Eventually, by 1865, the Founders’ Council of Mystic Falls grew suspicious of the deaths taking place in the town. They figured out that there were vampires present in the town and decided to take action. Damon was determined to protect Katherine, and he asked Stefan to protect her secret, warning him against telling their father. Unfortunately, Stefan spoke sympathetically of vampires to their father in the hopes of enlisting his help in protecting Katherine. While he said nothing directly, his behavior made their father suspicious enough. Guiseppe gave Stefan a drink laced with vervain, causing Katherine to choke and grow weak when she fGiuseppef him. Guiseppe then captured Katherine and placed her with the other vampires that the townspeople were able to capture. Damon viewed Stefan’s actions on that day in revealing Katherine’s true nature as a betrayal, and he could not forgive Stefan for causing him to lose Katherine.
The 27 captured vampires were placed in Fell’s Church. The church was then burned. Damon made a deal with a witch named Emily—she protected the vampires by entombing them in the ground under the church with a spell that she could reverse 145 years later, and in return, Damon would protect her descendants. Although Damon kept his end of the bargain, Emily would later return in spirit form to make certain that the tomb remained closed.
Damon became a vampire shortly after Katherine’s death. It was then that he began to take his revenge on his brother Stefan. He spent much of the time after Katherine’s death popping up in Stefan’s life and attempting to destroy whatever happiness Stefan had found. The two brothers became bitter enemies, the divide between them only deepening with time. At least until they both moved to Mystic Falls. He destroyed the town bit by bit but changed his mind and wanted to stay there.
He caused havoc no matter where he want and everything was a mess. Until he found out Katherine wasn't in the tomb after all. The one girl he loved had gone and wasn't coming back for him. He spent his time boozing and womanizing for a long time, until Elena was in trouble. He realised his feelings for her were there as well. At first it was because of how much she looked like Katherine, but it became clear that Elena was nothing like Katherine. They were complete opposites. His feelings grew deeper each time and eventually fell in love with her. When Katherine came back, everything went wrong. He found out there was a curse and that someone was coming to kill Elena.
He protected her with every way he could but now Stefan has gone missing and he finds him self falling more and more in love with her. Could she finally be his?

Elena sat in her room. Everything had just gone down hill. Looking at the pictures around her mirror she saw the one of her parents together, it was a great picture. She would never forget them but it was easier on her now. Instead there was a new hole in her heart, or should she say two. Jenna was the main one though. She had really gone and everything was turning out for the worse. Jeremy was even starting to dis concern himself from everything. He would isolate himself from everyone and Elena could hear him talking to himself in his room. She tried not to think about it right now, it would only make her more and more upset the more she thought about it. Jenna was the only thing she had left when it came to a parent, now she was gone also. Thank god for Alaric, he had pretty much moved in now.
Then she thought about Stefan. There was another picture hanging on her mirror, her and |Stefan over eight months ago. They had been amazing together, what more could she have wanted? Except, he had given himself to save his own brother. Now know one knew where he was. Klaus had taken him and everything wasn't going the way it should be. Something Katherine had said to her though had been going around and around in her head for the last six months. You can love them both you know, I did. Was it possible to love two people at once? She thought about Damon and knew the feelings she held for him were real. It was crazy that things like this were on her mind at these times. She sighed and shook her head. They just needed to find Stefan and bring him home, make sure he is alright.
Elena grabbed her jacket and made her way downstairs but she checked Jeremy's door first. He was out, as she had expected. Alaric was out also meaning she would need to lock up the house. She grabbed her keys and put on her jacket and headed out. She went right for her car and watched carefully. She knew where she was going before her mind came to realise it. She needed to go to the Salvatore boarding house to see if Damon had any news. This was daily and it was the only way. She rang Stefan quickly and it went right to his answer machine. She didn't leave another message, his inbox was probably full already. Instead she turned on the ignition and drove off. Ever since Klaus, Elena had always been checking her back, making sure she wasn't being followed. Klaus didn't even know she was alive, but all the same.
Elena checked her rear-view mirror once more before pulling into the drive of the boarding house. She sat in her car for a moment and took a deep breath. Being with Damon was easier, truthfully it was nice. It was familiar and she knew what to expect with Damon. No surprises. She was happy to have been able to save him. Although they had kissed on her terms. She didn't want to think about that anymore. Damon had given Elena a key ages ago so she wouldn't have to keep knocking. Elena opened the door and walked in. She listened out for Damon's voice, of course if he was speaking it would be too quitely for her to notice. She walked around and heard some shuffling in the front room. Damon was standing there looking stressed out drinking whiskey already. "Don't you think it's a little early for that?"
