Hey guys!
Analise is in need of one of the key characters for her plot. I had actually briefly joined another VD RPG before I came here, and I'd already made Analise as well as this character in need... Which is why I see no need to re-write everything I've already written. (:
This application template belongs solely to Kat from her own Vampire Diaries RPG. If she ever sees this, or anyone else from that site ever sees this, and doesn't want it here just let me know and I'll remove it.
Anyways, this is my wanted character!
For Over A Century I Have Lived I Secret, Hiding In The Shadows, Alone In The World. Until Now. This Is My Story...[/center]
Full Name: Samson “Sam” Alexander Dwight
Nicknames: Sam
Date Of Birth: August 7th, 1980
Date Of Change: N/A
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Relationship Status: Single
Medical Histories: None medically diagnosed
Hometown: Mystic Falls
Species: Werewolf
Abilities: N/A
Height: 6’2”
Weight: 181 lbs
Hair Color: Dark brown, one or two greys
Eye Color: Dark green, almost hazel
Body Metal/Ink: tattoo on shoulder
Distinguishing Features: Horizontal scar about three inches long on the left side of his abdomen from a bar fight – the man he fought with tried to stab him with broken glass.
General Appearance: Sam isn’t the most clean man you’ll ever meet. He’s rarely seen without stubble and residents of Mystic Falls wouldn’t be surprised to see oil smudges on the man, even after his shift at the garage. Sam’s brows are usually furrowed, casting a brooding and upsetting look over his eyes. Though he doesn’t flaunt it, Sam does have some muscles though his most common method of exercise is fighting.
Play-By: Matthew Fox
Likes: Bourbon whiskey, venting frustrations, honesty, protecting, fixing things, reading, music, playing his mother’s piano, killing other supernatural creatures and looking in old photo albums.
Dislikes: when people try to tell him who he is, vampires, other werewolves, ignorance, being lied to, being helpless, not having a goal, being sober,
Strengths: Enhanced physical strength, his determination and loyalty.
Weaknesses: His temper, his prejudices, his pride.
Habits/quirks: Though he isn’t an alcoholic he relies on it too much. He can never hide when he’s angry. He oddly enough is very gentle with his hands when it comes to fixing something or handling something delicate despite his frequent rages.
Fears: The full moon, finding out the truth about his family’s murders and though he won’t admit it, he fears being alone.
Secrets: Werewolf information, he’s kept his suspicions about his parents’ murders to himself and of course he’s never told anyone he’s a killer himself.

Father: Bryan Dwight, 50. (deceased since 2006)
Siblings: Vivian Dwight, 13. (deceased since 1994)
Children: N/A
Other Family: Aila Richards, 45. (Myriam Dwight's sister) Resides in Mystic Falls. Isn't close with Sam.
Other Important People: Analise White.
Pets: N/A
History: Samson Dwight was born into the world innocent. Myriam and Bryan were loving parents – even after Vivian came along, Sam never felt neglected and knew his family was something very special. Sam and Vivian had a very good friend named Analise after they started school together and the three were the best of friends and could always rely on one another. Though his dad was away often on ‘trips with co workers’ and his mother was very busy with house renovations for a long time, the family often went on outings together and there wasn’t very much drama. That was, until Vivian disappeared.
When Sam was fourteen his little sister went missing. The family was distraught. Bryan became very distant and he and Myriam began fighting. They always forgave each other, but a vicious circle had begun. Sam watched his parents destroy themselves with paranoia and despair. Though Analise tried to reach out to him, he brushed her off – he was embarrassed of what had become of his family which he’d once been so proud of… Embarrassed and terribly afraid. He was terrified Analise might see something his fourteen year old eyes couldn’t perceive; why were his parents so frightened? He was drowning in sorrow and anger, but Sam couldn’t understand the suspicious glances Bryan and Myriam cast upon one another and every one else.
Analise eventually moved away and it was around that time when the Dwight household finally regained some kind of pattern. It was never stable or peaceful again, but at least others had stopped asking questions, had stopped uttering condolences and the general public forgot Vivian’s disappearance. Sam and his parents were left to their own troubles. Though at this point Sam had graduated high school, he couldn’t dig for any motivation to do very much else.
He liked working with his hands and solving puzzles and fixing things – he managed to get a full time job working as a mechanic in a busted up garage near the outskirts of town after going through only a little extra schooling. He learned from his father that alcohol could numb and sometimes even make you forget, so that’s what he did with half of each pay check; drank away his issues at the Mystic Grill bar.
When Sam was thirty years old, he came home one day to an empty house. It was unusual because his mother tended to sit in the living room every after noon on the piano bench, fingers resting on the keys but immobile, her curiously blank eyes staring at a framed photo of Vivian. He wasn’t concerned about his father because he was supposed to be helping Aunt Aila with her storage space that day. Sam called out and sensed something was wrong. He searched everywhere in the home. He thought once about calling his Aunt’s house, but they didn’t particularly get along and he didn’t want to sound foolish. Eventually, after carefully looking everywhere for hints as to where his mother may be and coming up fruitless, he did. Aila had asked him why on earth she would know where his mother was, and after explaining curtly that Bryan was supposed to be there, there was a stunned silence on the other end of the phone. The two quickly figured out both Bryan and Myriam were missing.
It was Sam’s worst nightmare.
Nine months later Sam received word that his mother had been found. After Vivian, Sam had expected to hear that Myriam was dead, but it still was agonizing to hear they’d found her body buried in the woods. Her side had been mangled and torn open. It seemed as though she were bitten by something large. The DNA tests proved faulty, so they couldn’t give any clear answers until three days had passed, when they found a large wolf’s carcass half buried a mile away from where his mother had been found. Because of other particular occurrences in the evidence, they did a test and the DNA proved to be very similar but not exact.
Sam was, least to say, all the more upset by these bizarre things that had come up in what was probably both his parents’ murder, though they never found Bryan’s body. He at last understood when his Aunt Aila came to him and told him of how his father, grandfather and all fathers before him became a wolf once a month when the moon was full. Sam did not believe Aila at first because, after all, he disliked her, but he soon realized she may be right. He had the temper, the blind moments when he thought he’d lost control – and the messed up DNA in his mother’s case, the wolf… His gut instinct simply told him to trust his estranged Aunt and grudgingly, he did.
One night Sam brought whiskey home with him. The noise in the Mystic Grill only made him agitated; not that he wasn't still angry with nothing in particular. After downing the bottle, he attempted to sleep, only to hear some crashing going on in the backyard. He got up to investigate to come upon a young man and woman attempting to steal. Sam grabbed both by the collars and brought them inside easily enough to keep them until the cops came. As soon as he had them in the kitchen and he spoke into the phone, the male rushed him. Sam dropped the phone and pushed him away, but the man stumbled and hit his head against the granite counter top and died. Of course Sam was in shock. He uselessly tried to wake the man up and the girl made her escape. Though Sam felt pretty damn guilty about doing it, once the cops arrived he told them the girl that had been with him had pushed him in an attempt to escape.
And so the curse was upon him and the gene activated.
Sam soon heard of his old friend Analise’s return. He wonders sometimes if he’ll bump into her, and he dreads the day. He’s ashamed of how he treated her when they both probably needed each other the most.

If you are interested in playing Samson Dwight, please post an RP sample as Sam seeing Analise for the first time since she's returned to town.
If you need further help with this character, check out Analise's biography. If you feel the need to even further your knowledge of this character, please feel free to send me a pm! If you've got any ideas of your own for this character (as it will be your's if you're an intermediate RPer) again, just let me know and we can discuss the possibilities for Sam.
As for the portrayer, I'd really, really like it if it could still be Matthew Fox... or at least Josh Holloway... if not, again, pm me and we'll chat. Thanks everyone. (:
